THE WORK BEHIND THE IMPACT

Turned national research into stories that mattered locally.

THE CHALLENGE

Translated complex research into compelling stories.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Enterprising States Innovate report compared states' economic performance and identified those best positioned to thrive in an innovation-driven STEM economy.

The Foundation wanted to take the findings beyond the report itself, communicating state successes and highlighting the policies and initiatives contributing to job growth, innovation and strong business climates across the country.

THE APPROACH

Localized a national story for media across 50 states.

Imagine Consulting, as a partner to Madeira Public Relations, supported a national public relations campaign to bring report findings to audiences across the country. The engagement included:

• Print, radio and TV media pitching
• State-specific press release development
• National and state story development
• Interview coordination with the Foundation officials
• Promotion of state achievements and national report findings

THE IMPACT

Achieved nationwide visibility and advocacy for innovation-driven economic growth.

The campaign generated print, radio and television coverage nationwide, helping elevate the report's findings and the economic development successes of individual states.

State-specific communications created locally relevant stories from national research, while coordinated interviews with U.S. Chamber officials helped spotlight state achievements and advocate for continued innovation-driven economic development.
