Case Study: U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Enterprising States Innovate
Scope of Work
Imagine Consulting, as a partner to Madeira Public Relations, supported campaign public relations, including targeting and pitching media, writing press releases, and coordinating interviews with print, radio, and TV media throughout the U.S.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation released a comprehensive report, Enterprising States Innovate, to compare and measure states' overall economic performance and those best poised to thrive in the innovation-driven science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) economy. The report identified the top states in areas vital for job growth and economic health, including Economic Performance, High-Tech Performance, Transportation and Trade, Talent Pipeline, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Business Climate.
The Foundation wanted to communicate and promote the findings of the report in each of the 50 states to champion the success of states and governors, who achieved job growth and a strong business climate.
A public relations campaign was created and implemented to shape the conversation and increase awareness of states' STEM-focused economic development initiatives. The campaign garnered print, radio, and TV media coverage nationwide. Press releases were written for each state to showcase states' individual achievements. Reporters and media outlets in each state and on a national level were targeted and pitched state-level stories and national report results.
Interviews were coordinated with media and U.S. Chamber of Commerce officials to support the states' successes and advocate for future innovation-driven economic development.
